The header above was made from the image shown below. It was taken from a moving car window and you can see the bluring across the bottom. With the original image being 5,184 x 3456 pixels in size, there were plenty of pixel available to crop put a nice section to use for a mountain pictures header.
We believe there is a market for large, high resolution, digital images. Especially if their use is not restricted by a lot of rules and costs. We sell our images with no restrictions on their use and by quickly moving to 18 megapixel sizes feel we have an unusual product.

It's cheaper, easier, and more successful that trying to build a large stock photo site and competing with the big boys in stock photography.
